Poteficial
Welcome to Poteficial. It is a tribute to Southeast Georgia and aspects of Gullah Geechie culture. It is a reference to the city of Savannah which is also known as the Seaport/C-Port (locally pronounced Pote). Take “Pote” and combine it with official and you have a term birthed for all things done at the highest of standards in the 912…POTEFICIAL!
Poteficial represents the love, spirit, and culture of the area. On this project, the artist Port SAVant (Kush), embraces the soul of the city and paints pictures of hope with good times and truth. You will hear Southern 808 bass, marching bands, and jazz infused Hip Hop that contains witty, celebratory, and at times fierce lyrics in this offering.
A SAVant is a very talented distinguished person in a particular field. In this case, Port SAVant distinguishes himself creatively based on his unique experience as a teacher, hip hop artist, and cultural enthusiast. This is his passion. It is his dedication. It is his contribution to life in the POTE and all cities with people and customs like it.
It is the goal of Port SAVant to give people art they can enjoy and find inspirational in their daily lives. We are currently saturated and over run by a huge amount of disposable music. However, this is more than a collection of songs. Poteficial is a movement and a shift to bring about greater focus and vision. Big thanks to all the dope musicians on this project. There is no Port SAVant without them. Enjoy, Share, and live life to the fullest. Support @ https://portsavant.bandcamp.com/ Singles and full project are streaming via all music platforms.
